How to Apply a Cloudways Promo Code — India Step-by-Step
This is the exact process we use every month to test our codes on fresh Indian signups. It takes under two minutes.
The 3 Active Codes (April 2026)
- THATMY30 — 30% off your invoice for 3 months. On the DigitalOcean Bangalore starter (₹924/mo) that saves about ₹832 over 3 months. Recommended for most users.
- CLOUDS2022 — $30 (~₹2520) flat free credit dropped into your Cloudways Funds at signup.
- THATMYCLOUD — applies to Cloudways Autonomous (managed WordPress).
Step 1 — Open the Signup Page
Go to cloudways.com signup. The signup page opens in a new tab. We recommend an incognito / private window if you have visited Cloudways before — old cookies sometimes block promo code application.
Step 2 — Find the "Promo Code" Field
On the signup form, look for a small link below the email/password fields that reads "Have a Promo Code?" or "Apply Promo Code". Click it. A text input expands. Type your code (case-sensitive, no spaces): THATMY30 or CLOUDS2022 or THATMYCLOUD.
Step 3 — Watch for the Green Banner
When the code is recognised, a green confirmation banner appears under the field saying the discount or credit has been applied. If you see a red error like "Invalid promo code", the code did not register — see the troubleshooting section below.
Step 4 — Complete Signup
Fill the rest of the form. You do not need a credit card to start the 3-day trial — even if a promo code is applied, the card is requested only when you launch a paid server.
Step 5 — Verify in the Dashboard
After login, go to Account → Real Time Billing. You should see one of:
- For THATMY30: a 30% discount line on your projected invoice.
- For CLOUDS2022: ₹2520 (~$30.00) under Funds Balance.
- For THATMYCLOUD: discount visible on the Autonomous plan.
If the discount or credit is missing from the billing page, the code did not save. Continue with troubleshooting.
Troubleshooting — Code Did Not Apply
- Clear cookies for cloudways.com, then reload the signup page in a fresh incognito window.
- Disable browser extensions (especially affiliate/coupon extensions like Honey or RetailMeNot) — they sometimes overwrite the promo field.
- Re-type, do not paste. Pasting from some sources can include trailing whitespace.
- Contact Cloudways Live Chat. If the code still will not save, open Cloudways live chat from the signup page and tell them: "Please apply promo code THATMY30 (or CLOUDS2022) to my account, sourced from cloudwayspromocode.in". They add it manually within minutes — we have done this for several Indian users.
Common Indian-Card Notes
- Cloudways places a small ~$1 (~₹84) authorization hold on Indian Visa/Mastercard cards to verify the card is real. The hold is released within a few days. See our Cloudways payment guide for India.
- If your bank rejects the card with "international transactions disabled", enable international transactions in your banking app, then retry.
